If you're a registered voter, bring one of these to the polls:
Driver's License, Nondriver ID Card, Concealed Carry Handgun License,
U.S. Passport, Government Employee ID, U.S. Military ID, Kansas College
ID, Government Public Assistance ID or Indian Tribe ID. (See List of IDs for more

Changes in Kansas Voting Law
On April 18, 2011, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback signed the Kansas Secure and Fair Elections (S.A.F.E.) Act (Español) into law. Sponsored by the Office of the Kansas Secretary of State, this website contains information every voter should know about changes impacting elections under the S.A.F.E. law.
Starting January 1, 2012:
- Kansas voters must show photographic identification when casting a vote in person; and
- Kansas voters must have their signature verified and include a copy of an acceptable form of photographic identification or provide a full Kansas driver's license or nondriver ID number when voting by mail.
Starting January 1, 2013:
Persons registering to vote for the first time in Kansas must prove U.S. citizenship when registering to vote.
